Description
I am not sure if this is intended behavior, but I could not observe it previous to my update to 3.0.6.
When posting a global announcement, the user post rights will depend on the forum the user opens the thread from, and NOT on the forum the global announcement was originally posted in.
E.g.:
I post a thread, i.e. "Staff - introduce yourself in here" in a section called "Board News" where only a certain group, let's call them "Staff", is allowed to post.
Once I make this thread a global announcement, everyone is allowed to post, depending on the forum they call the link from.
Forum 1 is only writable by Staff, so if anyone browses to the thread using this URL: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1234
they can't post unless they are a member of Staff.
Forum 2 is writable by all registered users, so if anyone browses the thread using this URL: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1234
they can all post.
Is this the intended behavior? I could not help but believe that it is a bug, as the behavior as such seems to be illogical.
