    Description

Low memory limit may cause unhandled errors. In my specific case, the default memory limit of my webhosting was 8MB. After fresh installation, forum was unable to handle special characters. For example, when I tried to register user with spec. char. in a name, the blank page was thrown (or 500 Internal Server Error in some cases). The problem was solved by increasing the limit to 16MB by may webhosting user support.

Also I described the problem here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=944495

Proposal: I think the better would be, if user is warned during installation or if memory limit requirements are mentioned in FAQ. Also, if possible, some error massage would make it easier to identify the problem.
