I have found that when you use the search at the top of the window on the right side. After the search list has been populated and a top is viewed and it is not the correct topic the user is looking for. One tends to hit the back button. Then a retry error comes up. This does not happen when doing the same search from the Advanced Link.
Search that does not work:
1) On the main webpage there is a search box at the top right hand corner. Search for something relevant. "Native Error" for example.
2) The link in the address bar after a this search:
http://[ServerName]/search.php
|
3) Select a topic.
4) Hit the back button and then IE Give the following Error:
Webpage has expired
Most likely cause:
•The local copy of this webpage is out of date, and the website requires that you download it again.
What you can try:
Click on the Refresh button on the toolbar to reload the page. After refreshing, you might need to navigate to the specific webpage again, or re-enter information.
5) Hitting F5 and then clicking the "Retry" button will show you the cached search.
6) This is annoying.
Search that does work:
1) On the main webpage there is a search box click the "Advanced Search" Link at the top right hand corner. Search for something relevant. "Native Error" for example.
2) The link in the address bar after a this search:
http://[ServerName]/search.php?keywords=Native+Error&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search
|
3) Select a topic.
4) Hit the back button and then IE Does not give an error but shows the correct search results.
Proposal:
The search textbox from the main screen should function the same as the advanced search textbox.

PHPBB-7057 Quicksearch uses POST, thus the page expires!
