Hello all
I am the host for Leafs1967 board and our servers are running in suexec so the 777 permissions will break a site. phpbb support should be posting something on their permissions page about settings when using suexec.
Installing a fresh install of the board to the server works fine without troubles for the avatars. So there are no file permission issues.
The problem exists somewhere in the upgrade process and from the looks of things it is in the database.
I suspect it comes in based on the filename stored in the database versus that actually in the folder the filenames are different? The avatars are trying to be loaded using file.php (ie http://domain.com/forum/download/file.p ... 081309.gif)

According to our client, this was not an upgrade from 2.0.* but an upgrade from 3.0.* .

The conversion was made from 2.0.22 to 3.0.0 on January 19, 2008. Everything was fine (avatars showing) until I upgraded to 3.0.1 from 3.0.0. this past week.
The upgrade to 3.0.1 from 3.0.0 was succesful and no errors were detected. Login in to ACP, my installation is up to date:
Current version = 3.0.1
Latest version = 3.0.1
I've looked at the changelog and still can't see what the problem could be with the avatars not showing.
