This bug was found during testing relating to this ticket: http://www.phpbb.com/bugs/phpbb3/ticket.php?ticket_id=14642
In that forum, I tested out uploading files that exceed the normal requirements of the forum. As Acyd Burn pointed out, I was able to do so because I had admin permissions.
When you view these attachments in a post, they do not display correctly when you "view" them.
In the small box they display fine (you are able to scroll both horizontally and vertically), but when you click the image to "view" them they display incorrectly.
In Firefox 2.0.0.7, the fullsize image views correctly on it's vertical axis. On the horizontal axis, the image only displays within the confines of the original small view box. There is no option to scroll to see the rest of the image. Please not the image in question is 3008px long and 2000px high.
In Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11, the image views differently depending whether or images are displayed inline. Inline images display exactly as described above. Images that are not displayed inline (in the attachments box) fill the whole window horizontally, displaying over the bg or the user info, while allow the user info text to be displayed.
This behavior can be corrected by clicking on the file to "view" it, then clicking on it again to reduce it to small size. The image is then bound within the correct box. After that, "viewing" the image does remain the same as it takes up most of the screen on the right.
I wish I could post screenshots, but unfortunately my computer doesn't do screen shots for some reason.
Also note:
This is on a clean install. No MODs have been added.
