Ok, starting with the basics.
Using the very latest CVS in folder "/phpBB3CVS". Installed with prefix phpbb3_ into "forum" database. phpBB 2.0.22 (vanilla) installed in folder "/forum" in same database with prefix phpbb_
Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)
PHP version 4.4.4
MySQL version 4.0.27-standard
Browsing to convert page. Entering forum path in first screen "/forum". This gives an error. Should it? It's the right path.
Anyways, "../forum" works, so that's fine, but the first one should work?
Next step it tells me to CHMOD some images-directories to 777. I do that. Try again. Works!

Although, the first time I pressed "continue", I got a different error, unfortunately I didn't save it, but it was a plain phpBB error, no php-errors like above. It said it couldn't copy images/avatars/gallery/index.htm to the new directory. So I went into the new directory and simply removed the existing index.htm, thinking that was what was causing it.
Refresh.
Above problem shows.
Little suggestion: Make avatar copying optional! It's easier just to copy the entire directory to the new place. It shouldn't halt the actual data conversion anyways.
