On random occassions my inbox's unread message count will reset to 0 when there are still unread messages within. Once I start reading those unread messages, the unread message count at the top left-hand corner begins to go into the negatives. When new messages come in, it counts up from that negative number. I believe hitting the back button has something to do with the reset, but I'm not sure what the specific circumstances are.
