ICANN is officially moving to RDAP over WHOIS: https://www.icann.org/en/announcements/details/icann-update-launching-rdap-sunsetting-whois-27-01-2025-en

This is a RESTful implementation, which will be much better than parsing text like we do now for things like referral links. Also, it looks like RDAP endpoints tend to fully resolve the chain for you.

ICANN has a lookup service but don't advertise the endpoint itself. We can continue to use ARIN's: https://rdap.arin.net/registry/ip/<ip> (ex. https://rdap.arin.net/registry/ip/8.8.8.8)

A GET request with an Accept header of application/json will get back a JSON response.
