Symfony 5.4.0 LTS (3 year support for bugs and security fixes) has been released recently so phpBB4 can be upgraded to it as far as it meets minimum PHP version (>=7.2.5).

Symfony 6.x requires PHP >=8.0.2 so it's not an option currently (unless phpBB4 minimum PHP version requirement got bumped respectively).
