Unable to copy permissions from and to forums you cannot see

After creating a forum without assigning any permissions I'm unable to copy permissions to that forum using the "copy forum permissions" screen.

The problem is probably caused by the function generating the dropdown and the selectbox and the fact that I'm unable to see that forum.
