Description
I have a weird issue, of which I cannot find any bug report. I cannot believe that I'm the only one with this problem as it is so basic.
I have a fresh install of phpBB 3.0.6, and I try to login as admin. I get the error: Username does not exist.
I reinstall and start from scratch; same error. Yes, I spelled it correctly, copy-pasted from the auto-generated "Welcome to yourdomain.com" thread. Attempted password reminder; same error, username does not exist. I allowed it 24 hours with no change.
If I register using the same account as the admin, I can create a new account under that same name. Now there are two accounts in the forum: 1) The new non-admin account that I can login with, 2) the pre-existing admin account of the same name of which does not exist.
The most recent thing I've tried is to find the file where the usernames/passwords are stored, and manually verify that the account exists.
Is there anything specific I can also try?
