Word censor effecting bbcode links.

Should the word censor effect url-strings used in the image, flash, etc. tags? I was just editing someone's account (after having changed the directory path to an image in their signature), and in updating it, discovered that the censor will effect the uri's used by bbcode tags.

Is this expected? It took me a few minutes to figure out why the image was broken..
