    Description

      Your board's URL: http://theforum.alanadams.net/
      Version of phpBB3: 3.0.0
Was this a fresh install or a update/upgrade/conversion (please be specific)? fresh install
Was this an install through your host? no
      MODs you have installed: none
When the problem started: a few weeks ago
      Template(s) used: none
Language(s) used: I have installed EVERY language pack (and ALL corresponding Subsilver2 and Prosilver imageset packages) available from http://www.phpbb.com/languages/index.php?type=3.0.x (as of February 29, 2008). Each are the most up-to-date version available.
      Version of PHP used: 4.4.7
Database and version used: MySQL 5.0.45

The problem I am experiencing is the intermittent appearance of the: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." error message. I have encountered this message several (multiple dozen) times. To the best of my recollection, I have mainly (if not exclusively) encountered this error in the ACP while logged in under my main ("Site Admin") user account.

So, I did a search for "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." (no quotes, as that appears to throw off phpbb.com's search feature), and found SEVERAL results...

None of these results, however, appeared to be from a FRESH install of phpBB 3.0.0 Gold. This is the ONLY version of phpBB that I have ever had installed on my server. I manually installed phpBB 3.0.0 myself following the provided instructions.

The ONLY thing I have added to this installed version of phpBB are language packs (and their associated imageset packages), as indicated above. I have NOT (yet) installed a single custom style set, MOD, or anything else! I have, to the best of my abilities, (of course) made some customization to the settings in phpBB 3.0.0.

I am new to running, administrating, and moderating a phpBB forum, however, I am a several year veteran of phpBB as an end user. It is quite possible there is some configuration or language pack related addition that I've made, or some maintenance routine that I've neglected, to cause phpBB to go a little wonkey. I have taken care to make all changes/additions as carefully and cleanly as possible. Again, I am most certainly new to this side of the looking glass (with regard to the set up and administration of phpBB), very open to suggestions, and I am no technowinney.

I've skimmed over a handful of topics in the phpBB3 Support Forum. Most to all appear to be an update/upgrade/conversion or have installed a MOD or have installed a custom style package (or some combination of the preceding)...I have done NONE of these things. I did see a few suggestions from MODs here regarding clearing the cache via FTP, and removing and doing a fresh install of the entire prosilver folder. I haven't done any of this yet as I figured leaving my board 'as is' till hearing back regarding my specific circumstance would be best.

I'm happy to provide further information, access, and assistance in any way that I can. My board is still relatively new and together, however, I am working toward bringing it to a solid production level quality very SOON! Any help, suggestions, ect are greatly appreciated! And, the best way to contact me would be via PM up here or via e-mail at: aadams77@gmail.com

      THANKS SO MUCH!

      -Alan
