In mobile view, menu items are collapsed inside dropdown menus, for example the "Delete all cookies" link on the index page. When such a dropdown menu is created on page load, the menu items are copied into the container and the original items are hidden. During copying, all event handlers and element data is lost. This causes, for example, data-ajax links to not be called as AJAX anymore, see here.
