At login - Username request via email or login with email address capability

I keep seeing a lot of members trying to log in using their email and failing (connection log ext). It's every day and I have to keep sending out emails reminding people and the whole memberlist.... but it keeps happening. I have to tell them to trawl through the memberlist to find one they think is their username, or use the password reset link as it sends username as well.

Easy answer would be letting people login with username or email address. Or link like 'I forgot my username'. Or the password reset link text updated to explicitly say it sends username in email. It does not say that on the phpbb login / reset password page at the moment.

Getting username reminders has to be clear rather than use the password reset link( not stated for username). Or let people log in with email as well (probably best idea).
