    Description

While trying to fix one bug that I reported yesterday: https://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-15177

I think I discovered a new bug? Not 100% sure if this is a bug or normal? Please verify.

I think that bug was due to this new bug I discovered. Please read my reply where I explain more about removing these symbols fixes my other bug: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?p=14716806#p14716806

I found that there are many incidents in many tables and columns in the database that has these symbols:

      • <t>
      • </t>
      • <t></t>

How to find these symbols in the database?

      (see screenshot 001 below)
1: Go to your MYSQL Database.
      2: Click on SEARCH.
3: Under "Words or values to search for" enter any of those values below:
(NOTE: I did a search for only <t> during this session.)

      • <t>
      • </t>
      • <t></t>

4: Under "Find" select the option: "at least one of the words"
5: Under "Inside tables:" click on SELECT ALL
6: run your search: GO button

If you get any hits, then click on BROWSE for each, it should take you to the table / columns that have those elements. (see screenshot 002 below)

I've included a few screenshots of where I find those symbols in my database. It's just a few of them, there are lot more tables with columns that have them.

I've also searched for the same thing on my old phpBB 3.1.10 database, and I did not find any of these symbols. So I believe this was the aftermath after upgrading to 3.2.

Hopefully I am not alone with this issue / bug? And your developers can figure out what is wrong and can fix it.

Note that I've updated this database since the days of phpBB 2. So this database has been upgraded each time you have a major release of phpBB. So I don't know if that is the issue? The last update was from phpBB 3.1.10 to 3.2.

If you have any questions, please reply below. I would love nothing more than to assist you with this issue.
