URLs are not handled correctly by textformatter

    Description

      URLs are not being processed through the make_clickable() function anymore.

      This means URLs are not being shortened when they are too long and local URLs are not being handled differently than external URLs.

      This is because the textformatter changes stopped calling make_clickable, but it has no functionality of its own to handle long and/or local urls.
