      Description

Attached you see a screenshot of the file list from a 3.0.12 update to 3.1.0-RC1 (its 32k pixels high, which is ~30 screens)
We can not expect a user to find anything he needs to do there, nor expect them to completly read the list.

But in fact the later groups are the most important ones.
So I suggest to change it in the order of "chances to require user interaction"

      The current order is:

      up_to_date
      new
      not_modified (folded per default)
      modified
      new_conflict
      conflict
      deleted

May i also suggest, for cases like this especially, to have each group be collapsible, with a little collapse/expand toggle to show/hide.

It might make most sense to, by default, collapse the groups that do not require action:
          new
          not_modified (folded per default)
          up_to_date (folded per default)

This way we really only show the user by default what requires action, and tuck away the stuff that doesn't, so the user is not overwhelmed by too much info.
