There will only be a checkbox if they are unread, so that they can be marked read. Do you have any unread notifications?

There are all read. But why, if these are read, not deleted? Would it make more sense that you can delete them in the UCP.

Should probably use a greyed-out checkbox then. This confused me as well.

We shouldn't just delete notifications after they've been read, it is quite useful to have a record of what you were notified about to check on again, especially in the few days/week after you were notified of something. Manually deleting notifications to me seems like a waste of time for users.

We did want to set up a cron job to automatically remove older notifications so the table doesn't get too big, but the plan was something like older than 30 days notifications would be removed.

A greyed out checkbox rather than none would be a good idea.

The user should be able to decide for themselves how many days after this should be deleted
