Are $php_ext and $phpEx supposed to be different things?

I notice that $php_ext in the extensions manager (or something with extensions) was doing .php instead of php as $phpEx is.

New function parameters and class properties should be called php_ext, but the global variable name remains phpEx for compatibility.

This is a bugfix. You can not import $php_ext because there is no such variable.

Yeah, the naming when using DI is consistently $php_ext. But since we're referencing the global, we have the global $phpEx and the member $php_ext.
