Template tests do not correctly end output buffering

    Description

      On develop, if you run the tests you will notice that progress output stops at some point. This is because the template tests do not correctly end output buffering.

      Template test code in develop-olympus does it right, thus the fix is to copy develop-olympus code into develop.
