While creating the new avatar system only unit tests were added. While this is enough to test out the avatar manager, the avatars themselves are currently can't be tested. As the avatar system is a very frontend oriented part of phpBB, functional tests should be added in order to make sure that the system works correctly and in order to prevent regressions or unwanted behavior.
