Currently, whitespace inside of quotes is trimmed and the reply starts immediately after the quote. I propose to put the quote tags on their own line and add a blank line after the quote, before the reply starts. This has no effect on the resulting HTML.

Very short, single-line quotes may be exempt of the first rule. If the full quote takes <= 80 characters with no newline, they can be kept on the same line. For example:
