Controller helper route method should be able to generate absolute URL's

There are instances where an extension using the routing system may require an absolute URL, such as when sending out email notifications or when inserting links into a post. The controller helper's route method should natively support generating an absolute URL instead of requiring extensions to work around the relative URL's generated by the method.
