I tried to update a clean 3.0.10 board to 3.0.11rc1 using the automatic updater and when the updater finished checking 106 files for differences it reported only one 'modified file' (includes/constants.php). However, when I went ahead and competed the automatic update and checked the resulting files myself, it seems to have made the correct changes in each file I checked.

I tried the same thing on some test boards that had mods installed and had similar results (although in the ones with mods a few additional files were reported as 'modified files' and some were correctly reported as conflict files).

Am I missing something?
